The Kick Flare

At Keith Scarrott we love a trend that works in perfect harmony with a beautiful shoe.

And this Autumn Winter brings a style that does just that. Introducing the ‘Kick Flare Jean’ or ‘Cropped Kick Flare’.

Rather than the skinny styles repeated season after season, these jeans are fitted on the hips, slim on the leg and with a cropped ‘kick flare’ just below or on the calf, which for people with a penchant for fabulous shoes, provides the perfect opportunity to show of your favourite footwear.

It’s a style to suit all shapes and sizes and what’s even better, you don’t have to break the bank to embrace it.

Old, New, Borrowed and Blue

Got a pair of old flares or straight jeans you don’t quite love anymore? Be brave and cut the bottoms off! Kick flares look fab with a shredded hem, softening the abrupt length on the leg and are very on trend with the current fashion for old, worn 501 Levi’s, Boyfriend jeans with torn knees, and paint splattered skinnies.

Think a cropped jean is only appropriate for summer? Think again. The kick flare has come back stronger this autumn/winter season with fabulous styles being showcased in many high street stores.

The Best Bit

What makes us love them so much? The kick flare jean for A/W17 looks its best paired with your favourite pair of ankle boots. Whether you prefer a classic style with a sharp cut kick flare, or a more show stopping piece with a more embellished pair of jeans we have a boot style to suit you!

We’ve picked out three styles from our A/W collection which we think are ideal with your new, or upcycled, kick flare jeans…

Asinara

Our classic and much-loved Ankle Boot ‘Asinara’ is back this season and gorgeous as ever, in a beautiful glowing Tan leather and sophisticated glossy black. Want to embrace the trend but are seeking a more classic look? Asinara is the perfect boot for you.

Pair it with a dark rinse jean with a sharp, slim kick flare. The Jeans should just reach the top of the boot or go slightly over, creating a leg lengthening look. Pair with a Cashmere roll neck and a calf skimming camel coat and you have embraced the kick flare trend to sophisticated perfection!

Coperto

If your style is a bit quirkier and you love anything textural or metallic you will LOVE ‘Coperto’. Coming in two colours, either a gorgeous soft Taupe with a faded Metallic heel and toe, or a rustic tan with bright gold back, both styles will attract admirers where-ever you go.

Choose a kick flare style in a lighter, or bleached faded denim with a softly shredded hem, and you’ll be able to show of the eye-catching flash of metallic at the back of these boots with every step you take. Pair with a bright knit and a leather jacket and you’ll have nailed a cool, off duty look whilst being bang on trend for this season!

Canguro

Got a bolder sense of style? ‘Canguro’ is your dream come true. With gorgeous black leather, contrasted against a matte gold panel and embellished with studs and decorative cut-outs, this boot begs to be shown off.

Your cropped kick flares will look great in a pure black denim with ripped knees and rough cut hem. Pair with a bold printed shirt and a sharp cut blazer for a rock ‘n’ roll edge that’ll take you from day to night with ease.

Embrace the Silhouette

Whatever your style, may it be classic or quirky, the kick flare trend is the silhouette of the season that we can all embrace, so start shopping for a new pair or grab an old unloved pair and some scissors and you are well on the way to rocking Autumn/ Winter 17’s biggest trend.
